Hey 👋🏾, everyone needs healthy habits. Habits fuel your motivation, enable success and keep you on track even when tempted to fail. What are habits? A way of thinking that governs how you interact with your environment and each other. Think about habits as an extension of who you already are: when you try to remember something, take time for breathing, slow your breathing, refocus on the task at hand, etc.
5 habits that have been scientifically proven to help improve your health and boost your productivity. They are: getting up early, visualizing success, setting goals, networking, and talking to others. We're going to discuss each one in detail, along with how you can implement them into your daily schedule. This post is dedicated to offering you 5 habits that can help you cultivate a mindful lifestyle.
5 Entrepreneurial Daily Habits for a Healthy Mindset
1. Journal and brain dump
Put pen to paper and jot down every thought that comes into your head. Then as you only have time to write down 5-10 ideas a day, decide which ones will make up your daily musings. Journaling is an excellent way to clear your mind and get focused. It can be beneficial to make a list of things you want to accomplish each day. Once you start putting pen to paper, you'll notice how easy it is to remember things you already know. It can also be helpful to look back at days past and note the moments when you were motivated or inspired. Your daily journal can become a great source of motivation and skill development.
2. Review goals and vision board
Creating a vision for your life can be extremely helpful. There are so many things in life that we change our minds about. Getting your vision on paper helps prevent you from wasting time or money on things you don't want to do. For example, if you have a dream of being a writer, and every time you tell someone about it, they shake their head and say, "that's too difficult.
How about you try being a medical editor instead?" — you'll waste time thinking about what other job is more difficult instead of taking action on getting into medical editing. You can also prevent yourself from getting burned out on work by keeping an honest track of your goals and how far you're toward them.
3. Block out your schedule
Plan out my week and then go over it in a more detailed manner the morning of. Taking action in the morning prevents you from feeling burnt out and overwhelmed throughout the day. When you have a specific goal in mind, it frees up mental resources to work on other tasks or projects instead of getting bogged down by figuring out where you are right now versus where you want to be.
By giving yourself a specific time frame to get things done, you ensure that whatever happens will only take a limited amount of time to accomplish. This is key if you want anything important to get done on time.
4. Mindset check-ins
Being mentally focused on the present moment is the best way to live, work, and succeed. It gives us the ability to process information and make decisions with clarity. One of the most important things to consider is how we feel about our mindset. Each day we encounter hundreds of thoughts, feelings, and actions that control how we feel and act. What we think about these things affects how we act. The better you understand how your thoughts and feelings affect your actions, the easier it is to change them and live more positively.
5. Limit social media time
It sounds like a silly thing to do, but actually, it has a huge impact on how motivated you are and how productive you are. Here's a secret: When you set some boundaries for how much time you spend on certain websites or platforms, it makes it much harder for those sites or platforms to use their power to get a rise out of you, addicting you rather than helping you.
Try to limit each platform to only checking it once a day or every other day. If you like to stay up-to-date on all things tech, then don't be surprised if you find yourself bombarded with notifications on everything from social media to emails every single day.
The best way to increase your level of happiness and well-being in life is to live consciously and consistently in the present moment. The material world can win and lose motivation with each passing day. You have the power to choose how you react to the world around you by making a simple habit of living in the moment. Be mindful. We don't mean just being aware, but paying attention to your thoughts, feelings, and surroundings as they arise — but not reacting to them.
